Founded in 2003, Hansal (BVI) Limited has established a commodity platform, with strategic partners, to develop a coherent Africa centric commodity trading and services platform. The business model is based on commodity ‘hub and spoke operations' that invites established regional and national companies to work with a centralised experienced global team that manages trade financing, contracts, risk management and hedging, logistics, contracts and execution. The core management expertise of, over three decades, is in global and emerging markets' agriculture and resources. This includes from physical execution and logistics of bulk vessels, trucking and commodity accumulation, mill door contracts, off-take agreements, block chain advisory, specifically across southern and west Africa. In addition, the senior manager has been active in advising multinational companies in trading strategies and market development, NGO's and governments on food security, the establishment of a South African JSE derivatives brokerage operations. Hansal's business model is based on the collaboration with competent partners across Africa. Currently, the company has key relationships in South Africa, Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania and Nigeria.
