我可以自行研究保险单资料吗?

可以的,保险公司都会提供保险单的说明书让客户自行阅读。但是须知保险单的条款内容较为复杂,有些细节您可能理解错误。建议您可以直接咨询保险公司的客户服务人员,他们会帮您逐条解释保险单的各项条款。

保险单生效需要多长时间?

一般新的保险合同在保费支付后3-5个工作日内生效。此期间保险公司会进行被保险人的资料确认和风险评估。只有在这段时间内,如果发生保险事故,保险公司不会承担赔付责任。等必需手续都办完后,合同正式生效,你方可享有全面保险保障。

保险单可以退款吗?

有些保险公司在保单生效的第一年内,如果退保申请在30日内,会全额退还已交纳的保费,此为全额退保。但从第二年起如果提前终止,多数保险公司将按照“短缺率表”核算可退还部分,也就是说终止日越靠后,退费额越低。部分重大疾病保险则不设全额退保制度。

保险公司可以 unilateral 修改保险单内容吗?

保险公司在保单生效期间,不得单方面修改已经约定好的保险责任和条款内容。只有在保单每年续期时,保险公司可以因应保单和市场环境等情况进行相应调整,但必须提前30日以书面形式告知投保人,给予选择权。如果投保人不同意调整内容,有权要求中间退保。
