Grape is a new and advanced wine and food analyses laboratory and offers a wide range of analyses, from molecular biology, to flavours analyses and flavescence dorée and blackwood diagnosis. \\The main analyses by Grape are described below:\- evaluation of the technological and phenolic ripening by the FT-NIR spectrometers;\- monitoring of phenolic ripening directly in vineyard by the portable instrument Multiplex®;\- evaluation of the terpenic potential of "Moscato" musts by FT-IR technology;\- Analyses by GC-MS of the aromatic components (flavours) in wines;\- HPLC analyses to characterize poliphenol contents in wines;\- Experimental microvinifications; \- Molecular zonation of vineyards applying molecular biology tachniques (microarray, qRT-PCR);\- Microbiological analyses for monitoring the vitality of useful and spoiling bacteria and yeast species in wine, must and cork;\- Molecular analyses for defining the microbial load of the spoilage yeast Brettanomyces bruxellensis or of useful malolactic bacteria;\- Study of the microbial ecology of grapes, musts and wines by molecular and microbiological techniques (PCR-DGGE);\- Selection of yeast and bacteria and their use as starter strains for the production of higher quality wines. \\Grape offers the diagnosis by molecular tools of the 'Flavescence dorée'​ and 'blackwood'​ infections (grapevine yellows), that may kill young vines and greatly reduce the productivity of old vines.
