National Iron and Steel is Public Private Partnership company, newly registered in Sierra Leone with the Government of Sierra Leone as share holder. THE COMPANY is authorised and Licensed to do business in the field of Mining, Industries , power generation and housing development.The present status of these projects are all in the Pre-feasibility stages.The government of Sierra Leone have made available substancial business incentives towards the immediate realisation of the projects, in terms of land availability for the construction and mining of Iron Ore and Lignite Mining. The projects intends to develop a Steel Factory of 500,000 metric tons steel capacity, a 1000MW Power plant lignite or coal fired plant, a captive Iron Ore mining site with a production capacity 4-9 Million Metric per year. And Housing development scheme for workers. *The projects are estimated to cost in excess of 1.5 Billion Dollars * On going discussions with potential investors in China, USA and Germany* *planned discussions with China Development Bank, China EXIM Bank, China Africa Development Fund and Guarantee Trust Bank *On going discussions with business operators and owners in the business of Steel Factory, Mining and power Genetaion. *Durations planning, implementation and construction 2 years *operational 2016
