In 1991 company began by the name of "Country Signs" which designed, fabricated and installed acrylic, stainless steel, painted, fiberglass brass and metal signs. After Country Signs was fully established they imported a Neon Plant and Machinery along with raw material from U.S.A. and formed another company by the name of Thunder & Neon (Pvt.) Ltd. in 1993 and the office was initially situated at Mount Lavinia in the Colombo District. They also simultaneously rented out a building in Moratuwa in order to facilitate their workshop and machinery In 1995 Thunder & Neon (Pvt.) Ltd. purchased a building at 189, High Level Road, Nugegoda, renovated it and opened its new office to serve its customers with greater efficiency and quality workmanship. In 1998 they acquired a land at Boralesgamuwa, a few Km away from Nugegoda and constructed another large three storied factory and warehouse complex with state of the art machinery and modern facilities. This structure also houses the Head Office. When talking about valuable resources of the company, Thunder & Neon value their people the most. They have a total staff strength of 80 which breaks into Creative, Finance, Accounts, Marketing, Production and Administration. As they also a signage manufacturing company they utilize only these high standard materials in their productions. This led to other local signage manufacturers requesting them to supply them with the same materials as they are the sole agents for these products. At this point they commenced importing (in bulk) accessories and raw materials required for the signage industry. To make further developments to the signage industry, they plan to import latest inventions and products which expand to digital printing as well as engraving technology. Today it is a well-established company which servers' whole Sri Lanka with high quality advertising materials and Sign boards with unrivaled after sale service.
