Directional Drilling Directional drilling is an efficient, cost-effective way to install pipelines in virtually any material. Pipe lengths up to 100m can be easily installed without the need to sub-divide sections or dig into the ground. This not only means less hassle and heightened productivity – it also means significantly less waste material and less disruption to local surroundings. How does it work? To start with, we visit the site and carry out the necessary surveys of the area. We identify suitable locations for the receiving hole and entrance pits. Pipe Bursting Why pipe bursting? Pipe bursting systems are an effective way of replacing a whole range of different pipe types – including concrete and pitch fibre, clay and steel. It's suitable for installing pipes with a diameter of up to 30m, and in lengths of up to 100m – and keeps disruption to a minimum, even in busy, built-up areas. Pipe bursting systems can even be operated from existing manholes or temporary pits.
