Selling a gift card on Shopify POS

You can activate the gift card feature on your store. Gift cards will be added to your product list automatically, and you can then sell them in person using Shopify POS.

Choose a gift card format

With Shopify POS for iPad, you can sell gift cards in any of these formats:

• a physical gift card

• an online gift card that you email to the customer

• a paper copy that you print from your receipt printer

Sell a gift card on Shopify POS

If you want gift card codes to be automatically generated by Shopify and to appear on a printed receipt or email, then you need to enable gift cards as a payment method.

If you are selling physical gift cards (plastic or paper) with pre-existing codes on them, then you need to enable gift cards and enable physical gift cards.

1. From your Shopify POS products and cart screen, tap the gift card product.

2. Choose a preset value for the gift card from the drop-down menu, or create a Custom Amount.

3. If you're setting a custom value for the gift card, then enter the amount into the box that displays, and tap Next.

4. If you are selling a physical gift card, then activate the gift card using one of the following options:

• Scan the card with the front-facing camera on your iPad.

• Use our supported 2D barcode scanner to scan the card's barcode (the 1D scanner won't work).

• Enter the gift card's number.

5. Tap Create

6. The gift card product is added to the cart. Tap Checkout to continue to checkout.

7. Select the customer's payment method and then tap Accept.

8. Optional: On the post-checkout screen, provide the customer with a receipt.

The printed or emailed receipt for the gift card shows the following information:

• the name of your store

• the monetary value of the card

• the validation code

• a two-dimensional barcode.

Refund the purchase of a gift card on Shopify POS

You can refund the purchase of a gift card from Shopify POS, but you need to disable the card before you make the refund:

1. From your Shopify POS Orders screen, tap the order that has the gift card that you want to refund.

2. Tap the gift card number.

3. Tap Disable gift card, and then tap Confirm.

4. On the order details screen, tap Return.

5. Use the + and - buttons beside each product in the order to enter the quantity that you're refunding.

6. Tap Refund.

7. When the refund is successful, tap Done.

在Shopify POS中,可以创建多个礼品卡存放区。只需进入“设置”,选择“产品”选项卡,然后点击“新增礼品卡存放区”即可。设置完毕后,在销售时结账页面就可以看到不同的礼品卡存放区。

可以使用批量导入功能快速添加多个礼品卡产品。选择“产品”->“批量操作”->“导入产品”,然后上传带有产品信息的CSV文件,系统就会自动导入所有礼品卡产品。

在POS结账界面,点击对应的礼品卡存放区,系统会列出该区下所有礼品卡产品。然后直接点击要售出的礼品卡名称和金额,POS就会为客人完成礼品卡的销售流程。
